About Amy Cann
Amy is the managing partner at HR ROI Consulting, a human resources and training firm based in Portsmouth and Concord, primarily serving New England but as far-reaching as California.
She excels at legal compliance, solves HR challenges with practical business solutions, and creates and delivers educational programs to a broad audience from executives to staff-level team members.
Amy has been in the HR and safety fields for 26 years now and has undergraduate degrees in Human Resources and Psychology, an MBA, and a Masters in Organizational Leadership. She is a certified senior HR professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and an accredited safety management specialist with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
She has been teaching for the University of New Hampshire for eight years over a range of HR, safety, and business subjects and has facilitated hundreds of training sessions and courses over her career. In 2019, she decided to go back to law school to focus on employment and privacy law at the Maine School of Law. HR ROI will be expanded to include legal services and litigation in 2022.
Amy is a current Corporate Executive Circle Partner for the NH Center for Non-Profits, a Corporate Gold Sponsor for the Center for Wildlife, treasurer for the Rochester Youth Soccer Association, and the past president and current member of the Seacoast HR Association.
