Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is hosting a free virtual community lecture titled Vein, Vein, Go Away on Thursday, October 29, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., presented by vascular surgeon, Dr. Ritoban Sen, of the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Center for Vascular Surgery.
Venous disease is more than just unsightly varicose veins or spider veins, it is a major cause of discomfort and disability in the population. Pain, swelling, skin changes, and wounds caused by varicose or spider veins can be debilitating and prevent people from living a full and active life. During this lecture, Dr. Sen will provide an overview of venous disease and discuss the numerous treatment options available. Wentworth-Douglass Hospital offers a wide range of interventions to treat venous disease including sclerotherapy, laser therapy, and vein glue treatment, in addition to standard surgical treatment through the Wentworth-Douglass Center for Vascular Surgery.
The Wentworth-Douglass Center for Vascular Surgery is focused on endovascular health, to prevent and treat conditions such as peripheral vascular disease, peripheral artery disease, deep vein thrombosis, varicose veins, and more. The Center offers comprehensive care by expert vascular surgeons backed by advanced diagnostics and treatments options and state-of-the-art surgical services.
