PORTSMOUTH – Strawbery Banke recently announced the return of the Grove of Sponsored Holiday Trees for this year’s Candlelight Stroll, held on the weekends of Dec. 6-8, 13-15, and 20-22, 2024. The Museum invites local businesses, non-profit organizations, and individuals to sponsor and decorate one of the 35 available trees that will brighten the Museum grounds. To sponsor a tree, visit StrawberyBanke.org/stroll-sponsored-trees.
The Grove of Sponsored Holiday Trees, a visitor-favorite of Candlelight Stroll, offers a unique opportunity for community members to showcase their holiday spirit while connecting with the more than 11,000 visitors who attend the seasonal event. Participants will receive a 6-6.5 foot tree in the Grove with a sign featuring their name or logo. Decorators are encouraged to get creative by adding LED lights and decorations that reflect their organization’s style – blinking lights and colorful themes are welcome.
“We’re so excited to bring back the Grove of Sponsored Holiday Trees,” said Linnea Grim, president and CEO. “It’s a fantastic way for the community to come together, and each tree reflects the personality of our local businesses, organizations, and individuals. The program truly adds to the joy and vibrancy of Candlelight Stroll, and we look forward to seeing this year’s beautiful displays.”
Visitors will be able to follow the winding paths of the Grove and vote for their favorite decorated trees, with recognition for the top choices among business and non-profit entries. This year, bragging rights are up for grabs as the community votes for the best trees.
All trees in the Grove are generously provided in part by Glove Hollow Tree Farm in Plymouth.
