Thrive New England and The Aplomb Project Present 'In Their Shoes' and 'The Art of Healing' at Aplomb Gallery's New Location
DOVER — Thrive New England and The Aplomb Project invite the community to the opening of "In Their Shoes," a compelling multimedia art exhibit highlighting the realities of sexual exploitation and human trafficking in New England. The exhibit will be unveiled during a special event on Thursday, June 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Aplomb Gallery's new location at 262 Central Ave., Dover.
"In Their Shoes" features unique shoe art created by local teens and survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. Each pair tells a personal story, offering visitors an emotional and educational journey into the lives of those affected. The exhibit aims to raise awareness about the risks and realities of sexual exploitation in our communities and to activate community involvement in prevention and support efforts.
This event marks the soft opening of Aplomb Gallery's new space and will also showcase "The Art of Healing," an exhibition by The Aplomb Project. Together, these exhibits underscore the transformative power of art in healing and advocacy.
Advanced registration is requested, and refreshments will be served. Suggested donations will be split between Thrive New England and The Aplomb Project, both 501(c)(3) organizations dedicated to supporting trauma survivors through education, personalized services, and creative expression.
