Albany International weaves community outreach into Global Leadership Summit

Company donates food to Gather Food Pantry through team building initiative

PORTSMOUTH – Albany International is proud to announce the successful inclusion of a community outreach initiative during its First Annual Global Leadership Summit, held Jan. 27–29, 2026, in Portsmouth.

As part of the summit’s commitment to fostering growth both within the company and the broader community, leaders from across Albany International participated in a dynamic team building event on Jan. 28, 2026. The event, facilitated by FullTilt, was designed not only to strengthen teamwork and collaboration among participants, but also to make a meaningful contribution to the local community.

This year, Albany International selected the "End Hunger Games" program, a team challenge that results in a substantial food donation. During the event, teams engaged in creative and competitive activities such as tower building, relay races, and 3-D sculptures using non-perishable food items as building blocks. At the conclusion of the activities, the food items were donated to the Gather Food Pantry in Portsmouth. Gather’s mission is to offer innovative programs to build food security in welcoming and dignified ways.  They service the NH Seacoast and Maine, providing nutritious food and prepared meals to those experiencing food insecurity.

"Incorporating a charitable component into our Global Leadership Summit underscores Albany International’s core values and focus on social responsibility," said Gunnar Kleveland, president and CEO of Albany International. "By working together to support Gather, we not only created deeper connections in our leadership community but were also able to support a fantastic local charity in a tangible way."

Albany International looks forward to continuing its tradition of community engagement and leadership development.
