2nd Annual Paws & Purpose Fundraiser to Support Pets of Cornerstone VNA Hospice Patients on Sept. 27

ROCHESTER— Golden Dog Adventure Co. and Cornerstone VNA will host the 2nd Annual Paws & Purpose – A Fundraiser for Pet Peace of Mind on Sunday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cornerstone VNA, 178 Farmington Road in Rochester.

This free, dog-friendly community event raises funds and awareness for Cornerstone VNA’s Pet Peace of Mind® program, which helps hospice patients continue to care for and remain connected to their beloved pets. Support can include pet food, veterinary care, grooming, help with daily pet care and assistance finding a new home for a pet when needed. During the first half of 2026, the program supported 26 pets of hospice patients.

“Pets are family, and that bond can become even more important when someone is facing the end of life,” said Traci Bisson, founder of Golden Dog Adventure Co. “Paws & Purpose gives our community a chance to come together, enjoy a day with our dogs and help hospice patients remain connected to the animals they love.”
Attendees can enjoy canine enrichment activities and splash pools, pet care and training resources, rescue organizations, human and canine wellness resources, games, giveaways, food and beverages, and opportunities to learn more about planning for a pet’s future.

There is no cost to attend, and donations made through event registration will benefit Pet Peace of Mind. Guests who register in advance will receive a complimentary raffle ticket. The event will be held rain or shine. Dogs are welcome and must remain leashed; guardians are encouraged to consider whether the event environment will be comfortable for their individual dog.
