About Us
Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (or PMAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building community through the arts. At PMAC, music and visual arts programs are available for ages 4 to adult, including private lessons, art classes, music ensembles, free art exhibitions and events, and more.
PMAC creates pathways for education and engagement, fostering a safe environment where students of all ages can grow, excel, and achieve their full creative potential. Whether you are beginning an artistic journey or are building on existing skills, there is a place for everyone at PMAC.
PMAC believes that access to the arts is a fundamental right, regardless of age, income or identity. To that end, PMAC’s Community Access Program is designed to ensure all members in the community can experience the joy and transformational benefits of music and art. One element of the Community Access Program is Tuition Aid, which provides financial assistance to families in need for private music and art lessons, as well as music ensemble participation and art classes.
