Since 2009, our yoga community has gathered each year for this joyful and deeply meaningful event. The Yoga Mala is more than a fundraiser—it’s a reunion, a ritual, and a reminder of what’s possible when we come together with shared intention. Each year, the space fills with stories of physical and emotional healing, tender reconnections with familiar faces, and the beginning of new relationships rooted in care and belonging.
At the heart of the event is a three-hour yoga practice led by a variety of passionate teachers. Together, we move through 108 Sun Salutations, woven with periods of meditation and restoration. *Please Note: no one is required to do all 108 Sun Salutations! Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies, move at their own pace, rest when needed, and participate in ways that feel supportive. The Yoga Mala is accessible to practitioners of all levels, with chairs available for those who prefer or require them.

Following the practice, we gather as a community to share nourishing refreshments and connection. This time together is often where the impact of the practice settles in—leaving participants feeling replenished, grounded, and inspired.
Yoga in Action’s Annual Yoga Mala is also a powerful opportunity to rally together in support of equitable access to wellness. Funds raised through donations, fundraisers, partnerships, and participation directly support our free, specialized, trauma-informed yoga programs for communities facing barriers to access. These include individuals affected by cancer, people living with disabilities, those on recovery journeys, veterans, seniors, and others navigating challenging life circumstances.
Your presence and participation help us continue our mission to ensure that everyone—regardless of social, physical, or financial barriers—has access to the therapeutic benefits of yoga.
Thank you for being part of this ongoing journey to change the world for the better, one breath at a time.
