On Wednesday, May 13 at 7pm at The Historic Theater, bestselling author Elizabeth Strout presents her new novel, THE THINGS WE NEVER SAY, as a part of the Writers on a New England Stage series. The Things We Never Say tells the story of a chance incident that sparks a powerful realization in a beloved teacher’s life—a poignant meditation on loneliness, friendship, parenthood, and the importance of truth in a capsizing world.
This 7pm event features a moderated conversation with Casey McDermott, NHPR's Senior News Editor, and is followed by an audience Q&A and a post-show meet-and-greet. It will be held at The Historic Theater at 28 Chestnut St., Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
