Description
The Portsmouth Fairy House Tour--the world's largest fairy house tour inspired by Tracy Kane, the award-winning author and illustrator of the Fairy Houses Series® of books--usually takes place each fall in the historic South End Neighborhood of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, with more than 250 fairy houses built by creative professionals, community members, and students to be displayed on the grounds of Strawbery Banke, Historic New England's Governor John Langdon House, and in Prescott Park. This year, the Portsmouth Fairy House Tour has been modified to a virtual tour in order to keep all of our fairy house builders and admirers safe and healthy. This year, we are asking all of our fantastic builders to create their fairy houses in the comfort and safety of their own homes and to create a video or take photographs of your fairy house and send them to us to showcase in our virtual tour. ?If you are interested in participating as a builder, please register on our website. There is a registration fee of $10.00 per fairy house, which will be entered in to our building competition with youth, adult and artist categories. (Please be sure to choose your category on the registration form.) ? This magical charity event is produced by the Friends of the South End and all of the proceeds benefit the organizations, schools, and community groups who participate in the event. Since the Fairy House Tour began, more than $325,000 has been reinvested directly to the Portsmouth community. Please consider a donation to help us keep the magic alive!
