Description
Director Sergio Leone; Composer, Ennio Morricone
With Akira Kurosawa’s Yojimbo as his template, Sergio Leone’s A Fistful of Dollars helped define a new era for the Western and usher in its most iconic star, Clint Eastwood. Composer Ennio Morricone was a school friend of Sergio Leone who later approached him to ask for music for his first film. Morricone went on to write some of the most beautiful film music, garner six Oscar nominations, and finally win the prize in 2016. Part of The Music Hall Film Club.

ABOUT FILM CLUB:
A new series every six months, we’ll be focusing on a particular outstanding director, genre, or artist. On the 3rd Tuesday of each month, we’ll show a film followed by a lively, participatory discussion. Curators Bill and Stella Pence, founders of the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado and the Music Hall’s Telluride by the Sea Film Festival, have chosen Know The Score! for January through June of 2018, Chris Curtis, The Music Hall Film and Outreach Manager, will be our host and guide.
A must for all Telluride lovers, film discussion buffs, and all-around cinephiles!
