Summer in the Street
Description
“Summer In The Street” is the result of an initiative to identify/create pedestrian-friendly areas Downtown where musicians, theatrical and dance companies can entertain folks in the heart of the City.
Pleasant Street from Porter Street to Market Square closes from 4:00pm – 9:30pm (performances are 5:30 – 9:00) Saturdays on designated weekends during the Summer.
The event, now in its eighteenth year, creates a gathering spot in the heart of Portsmouth for friends, neighbors and visitors alike.
(NOTE: Summer in the Street is not a Vendor/Booth-driven event – that’s the profile of Market Square Day.)
