Meet The Speakers!

Barbara Johnson, Wicked Cool for Kids
Barbara is co-founder and Executive Director of Wicked Cool for Kids. She has extensive experience in curriculum development and program management for elementary school programs.

She has held positions as a middle school math and science teacher and as a science lab coordinator.  She has also worked as an instructor at Boston’s Museum of Science.  Barb has a Massachusetts Educator’s License in General Science, a Masters of Health Professions from the Bouve College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at Northeastern University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Minor in English from Merrimack College.  Her husband and two boys have served as the Wicked Cool for Kids testing lab, helping her develop kid-approved programming.  http://www.wickedcoolforkids.com/

Gerard Murphy, Mosaic
Gerard has had a passion for photography since borrowing his Mom’s Pentax as a kid on family vacations. Later, Gerard turned this passion into Mosaic which he co-founded. Gerard grew Mosaic from a PowerPoint and a dream into a service used by tens of thousands of Lightroom users daily.

He is also an avid Lightroom advocate and teacher of Lightroom tips and tricks. Gerard has been featured on many national podcasts and large photography publications teaching Lightroom and talking about the future of photography.
Gerard has been honored to judge many entrepreneurship contests for Babson College and other organizations in the Boston area. He is also a board member on the New Hampshire High Tech Council.

Gerard lives in New Hampshire with his wife Elizabeth, daughter Caroline and son James. He shoots on a Nikon and uses Lightroom on both his Mac and PC.

David Murray - David is currently a freelance commercial photographer and owner of ClearEyePhoto, which he founded in 2008 after retiring from a 30 year career as a Silicon Valley executive, computer scientist and entrepreneur.

In that career he cofounded several successful software companies, including Frame Technology in 1986. Frame went public and was acquired by Adobe Systems in a stock swap valued at $500 million. David was the lead designer and co-author of Frame's flagship software products and was VP of engineering.

After Frame, David cofounded and was involved at a senior level in 4 other software startups; one went public at a valuation of ~$1 billion. Before Frame, he designed and coauthored the first commercially available hypertext/hypermedia software product, Filevision for Macintosh, which won numerous awards and was an Infoworld Software Product of The Year. His "next big thing" involves the legitimate and friendly use of drones.  http://www.cleareyephoto.com/
