Description

A resilient workplace doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built through intentional leadership, open dialogue, and a commitment to employee well-being. This forum on resilience in the workplace brings together thought leaders and practitioners to explore the critical connections between mental health, wellness, and recovery in today’s professional environments.

Participants will gain practical insights into how stress, burnout, and mental health challenges impact performance, engagement, and retention. More importantly, the forum will highlight actionable strategies to support recovery, foster well-being, and create environments where employees feel safe to speak up, seek help, and thrive. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of why psychologically safe workplaces are not just beneficial, but essential for organizational resilience, innovation, and long-term success.

Join this conversation to strengthen your leadership approach, support your teams more effectively, and help build a workplace culture where people—and organizations—can truly flourish.

Optional AID Training: Immediately following the program, Suzanne Weete of Dover Mental Health Alliance and Community Partners will conduct a free 60-minute A.I.D. (Awareness, Interaction, Direction) training session for anyone who is interested.

Human resource professionals, supervisors, and managers play a pivotal role in shaping workplace culture. This training is designed specifically for those leaders—offering tools to recognize early signs of distress, respond effectively, and embed psychological safety into everyday practices.

Keynote Speaker:
Executive Director Randy Stevens, Hope for NH Recovery

As the executive director of Hope for NH Recovery, Randy Stevens does not operate as a distant administrator, but rather as a steward of a community-driven mission to provide integrated, wrap-around care for New Hampshire’s most vulnerable neighbors. Weaving together a Master of Social Work with over 15 years of lived experience with addiction, recovery, homelessness, and incarceration, he strives to create a space of deep mutuality where those walking through their darkest chapters feel genuinely seen.
Randy's leadership is grounded in an unwavering commitment to the next generation. He invests time mentoring peers and offering trauma-informed coaching to help ensure the field continues to evolve with both empathy and professional rigor. Whether navigating complex state partnerships or facilitating a wellness group, he stays rooted in the belief that sustainable recovery is built on human connection and the restoration of dignity. A dedicated student of the human experience, Randy works each day to turn systemic challenges into pathways of hope.

Panelists:

Jennifer Sabin: State Opioid Response Director, NH Dept of Health and Human Services
Kati Pittendreigh: General Manager, Galley Hatch Restaurant
Sam Lewandowski: Senior Director, Recovery Friendly Workplace
