Description
Please join us for the Morning Mixer hosted by Strawbery Banke Museum in the TYCO Visitors Center presented by Service Credit Union!
Strawbery Banke Museum is a 10-acre campus dedicated to bringing 300+ years of history to life, from Indigenous history to the present day, in the Puddle Dock neighborhood. Tour historic houses on their original sites, meet engaging costumed roleplayers, watch traditional crafts demonstrations, and explore historical gardens and landscapes. Immerse in the past, using objects from the Museum's collection of 30,000 artifacts, and the histories of the families who lived and worked in the Puddle Dock neighborhood.
The 2022 special exhibit, “Water has a Memory: Preserving Strawbery Banke and Portsmouth from Sea Level Rise,” shares how the museum’s historic houses are being damaged by the impacts of sea level rise. The exhibit, which is open daily and included in Museum admission, teaches the public about the number of factors contributing to increased flooding events from surface water and groundwater.
Strawbery Banke Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 1 - Oct. 31, 2022. For information and to plan a visit, visit StrawberyBanke.org.
