Michael Winters' "Friends and Muses" Book Launch Party

After nearly a decade of photographing his extended brethren, the Seacoast's Michael Winters has self-published an anthology of his best and most beloved work, entitled "Friends and Muses."

Designed by Matt Ralph of Plainspoke, this full-color, 200-page, hardcover collection of Michael Winters photography combines his highly stylized, cinematic imagery with elaborate costumery and wild coiffures alongside his equally captivating, albeit significantly more straightforward and austere, photos of couples in moments of peaceful repose. This body of work, mostly culled from the last five or six years of his photography, predominantly includes Winters' friends (dually functioning as his muses), many of whom are artists, musicians, writers, singers, dancers, chefs, butchers, and baristas throughout the Seacoast, transformed by the talents of stylists and make-up artists, and captured like a series of film stills hailing from the past, the present, and the future. "Friends and Muses" will be released in early November of 2015.
