WILD ROSES is the story of Rosie, an activist whose husband threatens to divorce her unless she gives up her cause that he sees as embarrassing to his rising legal career. Rosie's mother not only agrees with her son-in-law but accuses Rosie of putting her work ahead of her family. Rosie fights back claiming that her mother has lived a male dominated role as a housewife. And she accuses her parents of cruelty by putting her aunt in a home. The values of three generation explode in this powerful play that deals with issues that make every day headlines.

JUST SAY LOVE productions has produced two other plays by Daivid J Mauriello at the Players' Ring: BODY and A PASSAGE OF TIME. The company also produced JUST SAY LOVE in Boston and was nominated as best new (small) company by the Independent Reviewers of New England. Awarded a fellowship by the Artists Foundation of Massachusetts for his screenplay Fireflies and winner of the Jane Chambers Memorial Gay Play Contest for But Mostly Because It’s Raining, David Mauriello is an accomplished and seasoned local writer.

Deb Barry has taken on myriad roles in theatre throughout her life: actor, director, costumer, stage manager, props master, assistant to a producing director. She has worked in NH and CO; involved in schools, college, professional theatres, developing original pieces, theatre for social justice. Here on the seacoast, Deb has directed and produced several productions at The Players' Ring as well as stage managing and instructing children's classes at The Seacoast Repertory Theatre.
