The nonprofit Gundalow Company is excited to host award winning journalist, author and adventurer Rinker Buck for a special presentation and book signing of his 2022 book Life on the Mississippi: An Epic American Adventure.
Rinker will be speaking on the history of flatboats as discussed in his book as well as the role of gundalows in our nation's history along the Mississippi River and here in our Piscataqua region.Copies of the book are available at the Portsmouth BookNook for 20% off or may be purchased on site at the event at the full retail price of $19.99.
Light refreshments.Proceeds from this special presentation support our education sails for school programs and our summer camp in keeping with our nonprofit mission to protect the Piscataqua region's maritime heritage and environment through education and action.
