Introducing The Workshop at PPL! Hoping to learn a new skill in the new year? Looking for affordable ways to make or mend the things you need? Wish you had more crafting or technology gear to play with? Look no further than The Workshop at Portsmouth Public Library – coming in 2020. The Workshop is a space for learning, crafting, making, mending and experimenting for all ages. To kick off, we’ll be offering a series of classes throughout the winter months. Intro to 3D Design: Make A Skeleton Key Wednesday January 29 | 6:30 – 8 PM An introduction to basic 3D design using the free web-based software, Tinkercad. The class will cover creating an account, planning an object in three dimensions, using the basic tools in Tinkercad and creating a specific object. Must have familiarity with 3D printers and printing. For all ages 10+. Stay Tuned For… • Cool technology classes in February – learn how to use a GoPro and experience virtual reality! • Sewing & textile classes in March – including embroidery and knitting!
