Description

No Other Land A film by Yuval Abraham, Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Rachel Szor Wednesday, April 23 Doors 6:30pm / Documentary Screening 7pm $12 General admission Seated --

Presented by 3S Artspace in partnership with Not In My Name NH, join us for a screening of the Academy Award® winning documentary (Best Documentary Feature), No Other Land.

This screening is made possible with generous support from: Karin and Steve Barndollar Jewish Voice for Peace NH Peace Action NH Veterans for Peace Palestine Education Network UCC Peace with Justice Advocates Synopsis: Basel Adra, a young Palestinian activist from Masafer Yatta, has been fighting his community's mass expulsion by the Israeli occupation since childhood. Basel documents the gradual erasure of Masafer Yatta, as soldiers destroy the homes of families - the largest single act of forced transfer ever carried out in the occupied West Bank. He crosses paths with Yuval, an Israeli journalist who joins his struggle, and for over half a decade they fight against the expulsion while growing closer.

Their complex bond is haunted by the extreme inequality between them: Basel, living under a brutal military occupation, and Yuval, unrestricted and free. This film, by a Palestinian-Israeli collective of four young activists, was co-created during the darkest, most terrifying times in the region, as an act of creative resistance to Apartheid and a search for a path towards equality and justice. Not in My Name NH invites attendees to stay for a conversation after the screening. About Not in My Name NH Not in My Name NH is a diverse group of NH Jews who advocate for a just solution to the conflict between Israel and Palestine, one that recognizes the rights of all to live in dignity with self-determination and security.
