Portsmouth has always been a summer destination for locals and visitors to enjoy. But what about winter? There are many examples of communities that have embraced the winter months with outdoor activities, events, dining, and community gatherings.
Join us for an interactive discussion on best practices, and how Portsmouth can become a thriving winter wonderland destination for all to enjoy, November through April, as much as May through October.
Anne Weidman of JSA Design will share some of the research she has compiled to inspire us in considering how Portsmouth might implement steps to increase the enjoyment of the winter months - outdoors.
Mike Derhammer is a Portsmouth-based manufacturer’s rep for the outdoor adventure firm of Stoner-Andrews, Inc. He is part of a team of self-propelled outdoor sports and activities enthusiasts across a multitude of disciplines. Mike lives, works, and plays in Portsmouth and will share ideas about what winter activities we already have that we may not be aware of, and those we can build upon.
We'll have lots of images, a video or two, perhaps another outdoor enthusiast, and plenty of time for discussion.
Your ideas are important for this educational and brainstorming session. Please join us!
Working together, we can change the world. Let's do it. Onward!
