Join the partnership for tomorrow’s workforce
The Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth is partnering with the Portsmouth High School Career Technical Education Center to connect local professionals, like you, with CTE Juniors and Seniors to showcase local career opportunities. Industry participants will visit Portsmouth High School for two-hour interactive sessions with students.
Culinary Arts Career Pathways Program

11:00 Welcome and Program Overview - Courtney Ritchings, CTE Program Director & Chef Beth Brown, CTE Program Instructor
11:15 Classroom Assignment - Local professionals will work directly with a small group of students in the kitchen to prepare a dish they have been studying. Professionals will have an opportunity to enhance the dish and cook alongside with the students.
12:00 Career Pathways Lunch - Enjoy the lunch prepared by the CTE Culinary Arts program while discussing local career opportunities, education paths, and providing mentorship to the students.

Restaurant and Hospitality Industry Program Overview
The Restaurant and Hospitality Industry is an exciting, dynamic and rewarding field that offers a wide variety of opportunities. Our two-year program is nationally certified by ProStart. It offers a comprehensive curriculum including practical based learning activities in cooking, baking, catering and culinary competitions. Students completing the program will be prepared for immediate employment and/or continuing their education in a Culinary Arts or Restaurant Management Program. Course include Bakery Production, Culinary Fundamentals, and Sanitation & Safety.
