Portsmouth, NH- The New Hampshire Art Association (NHAA) is proud to present the 40th Annual Omer T. Lassonde Exhibition. Opening April 3, 2026, this milestone exhibition brings together artists from across New England in a juried celebration honoring one of NHAA’s founding members and passionate advocate for artists, Omer T. Lassonde. Over the past four decades, the Omer T. Lassonde Exhibition has become one of NHAA’s most anticipated annual events, showcasing outstanding contemporary work across a wide range of media and styles. As the exhibition marks its 40th anniversary, it continues to reflect NHAA’s enduring mission: to cultivate creativity, community, and culture through a shared love of art — affirming that art is for everyone, locally and globally. This year’s exhibition will be juried by Michael Rose, an art gallerist, writer, and arts leader based in Providence, Rhode Island. A sought-after juror and judge, Rose has helped shape dozens of exhibitions at organizations throughout New England. With his deep commitment to supporting artists and fostering thoughtful dialogue around contemporary art, Rose brings a valuable perspective to this year’s selection process. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top exhibitors: $1,000 for First Place, $750 for Second Place, and $500 for Third Place, along with several Honorable Mentions. This year’s exhibition drew strong interest from across the region, with 156 New England artists submitting 372 works, underscoring the enthusiasm regional artists have for participating in local gallery spaces. The 40th Annual Omer T. Lassonde Exhibition will be on view at the Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery, 136 State Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801, from April 1–26, 2026, with an opening reception on Friday, April 3, from 5–8 PM. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 11 AM to 5 PM, Friday and Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
