Hailing from the small stretch of coastline where New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts meet, OURBIGBAND is an amalgamation of the region's finest musical talent. Whether performing music new or old, classic compositions or original music, OURBIGBAND delivers a fresh and incisive sound. Teeming with improvisers, composers, diverse talents and tastes, OURBIGBAND is not your average orchestra.

On October 7th, world-renowned trumpeter, composer Dave Douglas joins OURBIGBAND for an evening of Douglas’s original compositions. Dave Douglas is a prolific trumpeter, composer, educator and entrepreneur from New York City. With more than 40 recordings as a leader, his unique contributions to improvised music have garnered distinguished recognition, including a Doris Duke Artist Award, Guggenheim Fellowship, an Aaron Copland award, and two GRAMMY® nominations.

Active projects include his Quintet; Sound Prints, a quintet co-led with saxophonist Joe Lovano; Riverside, a quartet co-led with Chet Doxas; a duo with pianist Uri Caine; and, High Risk, an electronic-inspired quartet with Mark Guiliana, Jonathan Maron and Shigeto.
