DESCRIPTION:Do you or a loved one with autism struggle to attend healthcare appointments?\n\n\n\nJoin the nonprofit Birchtree's autism experts for a free webinar to get practical tips on how to successfully undergo blood draws\, dental work\, doctor visits\, and other essential healthcare. This webinar is designed for youth and adults with autism as well as for parents\, guardians and caregivers of individuals with autism of all ages.\n\n\n\nWebinar attendees will be eligible to apply for participation in a pilot program Birchtree is launching this summer.\n\n\n\nFour selected applicants will be provided consultation by a Birchtree Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) on a sliding scale fee during July and August. Consultation will be focused on implementing the strategies taught during the webinar in order to help individuals with autism and their caregivers effectively access healthcare appointments. Given that funding is limited for BCBA travel\, priority for the pilot program will be granted to applicants seeking consultation within 45 miles of Portsmouth\, NH. This program is made possible thanks to generous support from the Doug Flutie\, Jr. Foundation for Autism.
