Thoroughly researched and fast-paced\, these novels have delighted readers since 1991.\n\nThe award-winning Outlander series on STARZ\, now in its third season\, has brought Claire and Jamie to life\, and introduced a whole new generation of fans to their love story\, and to Scottish\, English and French history and culture.\n\n\n\nAs we near the holiday season\, Portsmouth Public Library will host a magical celebration for fans of Outlander\, admirers of Scotland and its cultural traditions\, and anyone who likes to dance!\n\nJoin us for a very special AFTER HOURS Outlander C ilidh on Friday December 15 from 6 to 8 PM!\n\n\n\nA c ilidh (pronounced KAY-LEE) is a traditional Scottish or Irish social gathering\, involving food\, singing\, dancing and storytelling. If you enjoy contra or square dancing\, you'll love this. Live music by the Highland Soles will keep things lively! \n\n\n\nWe will serve traditional foods like oatcakes\, bannocks\, haggis\, and more. Costumes are highly encouraged but not required. Other activities include:\n\n\n\n  Green Screen Photobooth\n\n  Prizes\n\n  Share a Poem or Song! \n\n  Make Your Own Broach or Kilt Pin\n\n  Play the Bagpipes\n\n  And more!
