DESCRIPTION:Lucy and the Dog Bunch is a series of stories created by Newington Public School third grader Beau Anderson (with help from his mom). It was beautifully illustrated by fellow Newington resident Maggie Callahan\, a talented artist and high school student. This is their first collaboration. Beau and Maggie are both animal lovers\, and a portion of the proceeds from the book will be donated to the New Hampshire Society for the Protection of Animals in nearby Stratham. Join us in celebrating this creative and charitable work at the Langdon Library on Tuesday\, September 24 at 6 pm. Beau and Maggie will do a short reading followed by a Q & A. Light refreshments will be served as well as homemade dog treats for you to take home to your furry companion\, just like in the story.
