SUMMARY:Celebrate New Year's Eve with Blue Ocean Society
DESCRIPTION:The Blue Ocean Society will be hosting an Open House from 7-9 p.m. They will provide coffee\, hot chocolate\, and cookies\, courtesy of the Hampton Beach Village District\, at their facilities at the top of D Street. Come visit their touch tanks where you can touch starfish and view rare lobsters that were caught near the Isles of Shoals and donated by Newick's Lobster House. There are two rare multi-colored lobsters housed in separate touch tanks\, including a calico lobster\, which is blackish-brown and bright orange in color. It's one of the most unusual lobster colorations. The Lobster Institute estimates that only 1 in 30 million lobsters are this color. In addition\, they have a partial blue lobster\, thought to number 1 in 2 million. Come see these truly extraordinary lobsters. Your kids will enjoy learning about the unusual creatures that populate our oceans and have an exciting opportunity to touch them too. \n\n\n\nFor more information\, contact the Blue Ocean Society at 603-431-0260.
