Every industry on the seacoast is sharing a concern about workforce, but few companies are doing what it takes to help grow the next generation of talent. Studies have found that college students who participate in an internship experience are highly likely to stay in that community following graduation. So, why doesn?t every company on the seacoast have interns?
The Business Development Series session sponsored by Bank of New Hampshire ?The Power of the Intern? will share best practices on how your company could start an internship program that benefits both the company and the student.
Leading the session will be Lindsay Becker, VP of Human Resources, and Lauren Conroy, HR Business Partner from Vapotherm.
The session will answer these questions and many others:
- Should your company have internships?
- How do they attract interns?
- What are they looking to learn?
- What are some best practices for crafting a positive experience for the individual and the company?
- What legal / HR issues should a company know about or consider prior to taking interns?
